If you end up trashing it, please save the screws which hold on the latch at the front of one of the sliding windows. I need two of them!

If you would ship to Canada then I'd consider buying, just so long as they wouldn't get broken
Well if he's willing to pay the cost, you can go to one of the UPS stores or the similar Fedex store and they do the packaging and guarantee it for a price.
But I am like you I wouldn't try.
I only ship things that can take a beating.
I shipped a A/C box last year and I packaged it decent, and plastered it with FRAGILE all over the box.
The buyer recieved it mangled up, and Fedex refused to pay saying I didn't package it properly.
They returned it to me, and I had to eat the shipping and refund the money to the guy.
Th ebox looked like it was run over by a truck.
i had 2 sets. sold each set for 75 a set + shipping around 30 fedex.
easy to ship. wrap each window in 2 full wraps of cardboard after small tiny bubble wrap around each. then wrap both together with card board for 1 pack. tape the hell out of it.
shipp it and insure for 400-500 thats how i did it no problems at all.

So the value you put for insurance is what scares them into taking care of it because they don't want to pay up?
mabye mabye not i dont know. just coverin my butt. only cost like 5 bucks more in the total for peaice of mind.
The nearest UPS Store is an hour away, the local drop off won't take them, I've checked with similar sized items. I have neither the bubble wrap or cardboard on hand to pack them with.
So figure $150 plus the actual shipping cost before I start to feel like shipping the stuff.
They are not in my way where they are now, and if it is a year before somebody local needs them great. Maybe between now and then I'll increase my packing material stash, and be more willing to mess with it.

I understand. Not sure how bad the shipping cost would be from cali to canada. 500 bucks for the grand total would not be cool
