For sale is a 1988 GMC K30, 1-ton, Crew Cab, dually, 4 wheel drive with an all aluminum utility body. It has a carbureted 454 big block with 53k original miles, a Turbo 400 automatic transmission, an indestructible NP 205 gear-driven transfer case, and a Dana 60 front and 14 bolt rear axle with 4.56 gears!

I bought the truck from a government auction. It lived the first part of its life at a marine base in Beaufort, SC as a “Forcible-Entry Fire Rescue Truck” (the emergency lights still work!). As mentioned, the truck has only 53,000 original miles and runs and drives! I just had the rear driveshaft rebuilt (new tubing, new u-joints, new hanger bearing and the whole assembly balanced). I was NOT issued a title for this truck, so one will not be provided at the time of sale (you can always apply for a title with the State). My original intention was to part the entire truck out (which would probably net me more money overall), but it’s too nice in my opinion to separate . . . and the wife says one project has to go.

NO LONGER FOR SALE!!!!!

Carbed 87??? Sure it's not an older one?? Cool truck tho...

Actually, it's a 1988. I took a picture on the VIN (it's kinda bad cause it was already dark outside). There were a few carb'ed trucks made in '88 . . .

Good luck.

Thanks. If it doesn't sell I'm going to either part it out or make it an around-town-going-to-Home-Depot kinda truck . . . haven't decided which yet.

cab and chassis... shorten the frame, and put a shortbed on it, and keep the narrow rear.... drool...
