Some master cylinder info

[ QUOTE ]
es, it's 1 ton, so I did do the axle swap...

I built a bleeder thing out of a 1 gallon sprayer and used that...Although I'm unsure of what your gettting at...

Not sure what you built, but what I was getting at, is that if you bleed the brakes using the brake pedal, you are more likely than not going to damage the seals in the master cylinder, leading to more leakage past those seals, meaning braking will be less than optimal.

You may not have enough leakage to trigger the brake warning light (I didn't, for 4 months) but it doesn't mean the system is working correctly.

Didn't bleed the master using the pedal. Built a bleeder using a 1 gallon sprayer from True Value. Cut out a piece of 1/4" plate alittle bigger than the master cylinder. Drill a hole and weld a fitting on there. Cut the sprayer nozzle off the hose on the bottle. Clamp the hose on the fitting. Clamp the plate to the top of the master cylinder. Fill sprayer with brake fluid. Open bleeders. Pump sprayer till fluid comes from bleeders. Worked frickin awesome. Had all for corners bled in like 4 or 5 minutes. /forums/images/graemlins/bow.gif I just figured the original master leaked cause it sat with no fluid in it for over a year and the seals deteriorated.

System is working correctly now. /forums/images/graemlins/tongue.gif

Ahh, gotcha..I figured the sprayer was for pressure of some type, just wasn't sure. Sounds like a neat idea.
