Glad you could get the screengrab of the post, since I'm not a member of any FB groups and otherwise would not be able to view the post there. Did a search of the owner name in my mega=spreadsheet, and from that to my photos which show the same circle decal in the side window, this is #0237, built in 7/76. Yep, on my radar, but I never turn down any new updates on the ones I know of. First saw this one in a 2013 ad / video, and then again when the current owner posted at Miles Blackard's FB page that he owned what was left. Blazer must have been too far gone to be worth saving. The Youtube walkaround of the complete rig in the junkyard from 2013 still works (mislabeled as a '77):not sure if on your radar but dude with military k5 gonna put a chalet topper on..
Thanks - knew of this one back in February, #0466, but not of its $4500 price drop this week, so I updated my map listing price for it tonight.Found this one. Needs some help. https://oklahomacity.craigslist.org/cto/d/harrah-1976-k5-blazer-chalet/7541605936.html
Never heard of "Facebook Reels" before, haven't logged into my FB page to look for Chalets in a month or more. Thanks for the update - this one I learned from this owner via his Feb 2021 Facebook page, it is #1189 built in 9/76. Story is that he knew of it parked in the Texas woods for at least 15 years and was always trying to see of the owner would sell it, and finally talked the guy into it last year. Paint was preserved well enough to polish up quite nicely, but other bits like the stripes and back door decal are not so happy. Not often, though, that the vinyl stripes stay stuck to the back in a continuous diagonal line.![]()

Many thanks for snagging the screen grab of that, which includes the name of the guy who spotted it. I'll try contacting the guy to see if more info is available on it. Don't readily recognize it, but then all '76 models look pretty much the same apart from smaller details.just saw this on fb.....
Many, many thanks for spotting this guy's sighting of it! Three tell-tale indicators this one is Chalet #1221. First, "from Grand Rapids", second, no rub strip on the front bumper, and third - most alarming of all - the crooked roof top. The GarageKept dealership has been unable to unload that rig going back to Aug 2021 because of its massively too-high price ... until just recently since it's website shows it now as Sold. Notice the missing rubstrips in their photo gallery. This is also the same rig that previously had its stripes repainted in the wrong top-to-bottom color shade sequence that also had giant donk wheels. Watch also at the 1:45 spot in this 2 minute Facebook video how its roof is trying to go sailing off. Whoever this new hapless owner is, he's going to be in a bigger world of hurt if he doesn't tie the roof down better.no info on this one.. just interesting..
Multi, many thanks for spotting this one! The seller does a disservice to himself by not putting the word "Chalet" in the listing. From the several distinctive details here - the Pontiac TransAm-style "thunder chicken" decals on the camper sides, the incorrect camper stripe replacements, and the non-factory spare carrier with those driving lights - I don't recognize it in my mega-spreadsheet list. I've asked the seller to include more photos (sometimes they do, more often they don't since I'm not a buyer). Would be worthy to check out. The additional photos I could use would be of the VIN tag in the driver's side door jamb and (if it's still there) the blue & white RPO tag in the glove compartment, along with a photo of the full back, and then a close up of the camper serial number tag under the black plastic oval tag by the back door. If there's any Chevy dealership logos on the back that aren't readable from a distance, I could use a close up of that, too. No obligation, of course, it's a gift to the overall community on gathering more photo info on all of these that are still out there.Whats the word on this one? Its close to me.
Thanks for the alert! Here is super rare #47
