Somebody here is tracking Chalets...not sure if this one is accounted for?

Back up for sale again
I'm a bit late in replying, thanks for catching it! I was also alerted by another guy on this one, but my own personal housing situation switch from one residence to another gets in the way of my hobby pursuits.

Too bad this Chalet #0414 couldn't stay bought for more than a year, I was amazed last year at how much the seller here paid for it. From a glance into the auction winner's other purchases on Bring a Trailer, he might be yet another flipper, and it wouldn't surprise me one bit if this one reappeared at some classic car dealership advertised at double the price, just like it was in its 2016 eBay listing which said it was "factory original, fully loaded, with a mint condition interior" ............ despite how it was missing its factory original passenger side clothes closet, and had a year-old cloth seats reupholstery job in non-original plaid cloth (replacing a prior non-original reupholstery job that was plain brown cloth seats), including on the aftermarket van-style seats.

The unique distinguishing feature on this one that sets it apart from pretty much every other '76 in this same color combo is whatever that non-original black stuff is on the forward top edge of the popup roof ....

....check this out. Ppl are commenting about owning chalets, could be opportunity for you to gather more serial numbers!
Alas, the one other thing I lack besides money is time. It's a tragedy, really. I have two other totally unrelated hobbies where FB Groups for them are a fabulous source for info and really old photos when they allow non group members to view the discussions, but I only glance into those once a month, tops, and FB is also plagued with being one of the most obtuse systems out there when it comes to doing searches for particular things. But the Group you point to requires membership, and unfortunately, I literally don't have available time to join any FB groups or join Instagram or other photosharing sites. I used to be able to glean photos via Google search results of Chalet owners from Instagram, but no longer. You'll have to trust me on this angle, I actually had to sell my Chalet to raise cash to keep me doing what I do full time, info gathering / bulletproof analysis on what could become an epic level defamation lawsuit. It's a time-eater, I sometimes put in 10 hours per day on yugely detailed reports, and one day, I'll get rewarded for what is still speculative non-paying work.

Thanks for the alert! I'm square in the middle of moving from one place to another, and have had almost zero time to look at the internet. This one is Casa Grande #1299, I corresponded with the sellers' dad years back and the two sellers in Feb 2022 when they updated me on the status of it. Modded as much as it is, I doubt that it will appeal a whole lot to the big dollar auction buyers / classic car flippers who tend to populate the BaT auction site who tend to hugely favor factory original classics.

Here is a Blazer missing the Chalet .......

I just confirmed it is the matching Blazer to this Chalet. The seller says she will try to send you the VIN.
Many thanks for the alerts, I would have missed the listings otherwise becauseof all the other mayhem I'm dealing with from settling into my new residence. Indeed true, the Blazer seller did share the truck VIN, so that is at least part of a cross match with the recently orphaned camper unit. I contacted the seller of the camper this morning, and he said the serial numbers on the plate by the back door were worn down and too hard to read, but more likely they were lightly stamped into the metal - I've seen that on other early production '76s. I asked if he could add a photo or two to his FB Marketplace listing of that SN plate and what looks like a state RV plate under it that likely has the SN reproduced on it.

Another one in Spokane, WA
Grateful for the alert, because in this case .... well, the plot thickens. See my #8 post addition in my old Chalet #1683-specific thread to this rig's somewhat recent sales history where I had the link to its eBay auction that started on Aug 7 that was due to end tomorrow. But apparently the seller yanked the eBay listing, which had the word "original" appearing 19 times in its description despite it being a partial 2010 restoration.

On that first one right above today, another of the guys who keeps an eye out for me on these told me it was on eBay. For a moment there after I saw the Craigslist link, I thought my senility was returning on where it actually was listed, but no -- the seller has it listed in both places, eBay linky here. It's Chalet #0249, I got that from the seller 2 years back from his eBay listing back then (I saved an archive link for it), when I PM'd him to ask what he meant by "no delamination" in his eBay description. He said he had another Chalet that "totally delaminated" but never explained further when I figured out I was not a buyer.

The other one on Bring a Trailer is Chalet #0828, I put in a 3-person reply to commenters at BaT's comment section on this one. In the background of the seller's photos is another Chalet, #0206 that was sold on FB Marketplace back in January.

I always appreciate alerts on these, because if I know of them already, I can update my notes on their status in my mega-spreadsheet list, and if they are new to me, I can add them to my list.

Thanks for the screengrab there. For some odd reason, when I log into FB, the link goes to one of those "This content isn't available right now" blank pages. I was able to fine the seller's FB Commerce ad listing, which works fine for me: https://www.facebook.com/commerce/listing/277974841849151/

I was thinking the seller might have typo'd the serial number when it could be #0312 instead, but he messaged me back to say it was #0213. I asked if he could add in a photo of the serial number plate and also a photo of the VIN tag. Might be another new one to add to my mega-spreadsheet if it definitely is not the orphaned camper unit #0312.

Not for sale just saw on farce book just a heads up.
Could you get back to that one and get a screengrab of what's there? Either when I log into FB or am logged out, all I see is FB's dumb "no content" result. FYI, over at my ongoing thread for Chalet #1683, I told how I could initially see the new owner's FB post about it, but after posting a question on a possibly inconvenient truth about it, near as I can tell the owner deleted my comment question and blocked me from seeing his content. But I could still view his post when logged out of FB.
