Somebody here is tracking Chalets...not sure if this one is accounted for?

idk I clicked on to get screenshot worked for me. ...
Mucho thanks! From that I could see who the FB user is, so I sent him a FB Message to ask for more info/photos about it. Haven't calculated my success rate of contacting FB people like that out-of-the-blue, but maybe a third of the time the guys share info & photos.

Appreciate that! It's a news update I can add to my spreadsheet on the sales progress of this one, it is Chalet #0828 built in 8/76, its Reserve Price auction listing at "Bring a Trailer on Sept 6 at a reserve-not-met. https://bringatrailer.com/listing/1976-chevrolet-k5-chalet/ Given how the top end collector value of these is in ones approaching factory showroom new appearance, this one's lack of vinyl stripes, non-factory color side accent areas, and (allegedly, hard to tell from the photos) non-original cab seats is what prompted that unfavorable bid amount.

It also doesn't help how it has been passed around like a hot potato the last few years. It has probably had 5 different owners and 4 sales in this thread during the time this post has been here.

Another loose top.
Thanks for catching that with a screengrab & link. Another guy alerted me to that one a week back without a link, and by the time I dug deep enough into FB to figure out where the guy lifted his screengrab, the seller had apparently taken the listing offline. I highly doubt that he had sold it at that price. Indebted to you if you spot a relisting of it, and/or are able to find the seller's FB account page so that I could use it to contact him. There's enough "Brian Gray"s in FB that a search of the name doesn't show me an account with that matching avatar photo.

Trying to do my part! 2 numbers listed in this pic
Many, many thanks! On that latter one, I forget when I first saw Brock Miller's FB posts about his #1189 Chalet, but the short story of it is that he'd known of the longtime owner keeping the rig out in the forest neglected for years, not for sale. But Brock persisted in asking about it and finally talked the owner out of it. Leaf-covered mess, but Brock got it running and polished up nicely, it's a keeper for him, unlike the way others are filtering through the hands of lots of classic car dealer/flippers who view these rigs like unID'd $5 Tiffany lamps they found at a garage sale that can be flipped at auction for a hundred grand.

And speaking of which regarding that first #0828 Chalet, check out the CK5 eBay post I just created for it, where I spell out what GSMFWCCDF stands for: https://ck5.com/forums/threads/0828-chalet-on-ebay-for-a-bin-of-45-000-yeh-right.348832/

Here is one in Iberia MO
Thanks to both you and Big10 right above for technically the same alert for this #1037 Chalet. Your link is for the FB Marketplace listing, while his link to the "squarebodys for sale and parts" FB page has photos that when clicked on take you to its FB Commerce listing page. Why the evil Facebook corporation creates two different web addresses for such ads is beyond me. Anyway, good to have the alerts on this one -- when the seller says "it's rough", he's not exaggerating, but notice how the rig has been doused with water to make the paint look shiny. This one is so bad off in condition that the prior seller in Wentzville, MO put it in 3 eBay listings and at least 8 (if not more) Craigslist ads from May 2017 to August 2019, where he started at $4999 and ended up at $1200 and still could not unload it on anyone, until apparently in 2022 when the seller announced he got it - here's what it looked like at that time.

Does the current economic inflation situation in the country justify what might be a 525%+ value jump for this rig? I'm thinking not .....

just saw this...
Greatly appreciated! This is an update for me, last saw it in a single mid-June 2017 eBay auction that (if I remember right) had no winning bid above the seller's opening price of $3 grand. Appears to have deteriorated some in the interim time.
hmm wonder why it is priced so reasonable ?
"they are", plural. $6500 for it and the blue/white Blazer in the last two pics in the FB Commerce listing version. Although, who knows what all comes with the second Blazer? Chalet looks like quite an uphill restoration effort, if the goal is to achieve max rare collector vehicle value.
