That’s a hell of a RC truck.

Thanks, I've seen that model builder's other prior works, and it appears he's quite skilled in many aspects of R/C models. His depictions of Chalets are still a bit more toward the basic interpretation of what they look like rather than being dead-nuts accurate representations. I've seen a couple of his where the camper unit taillights are just rectangles on the back surface, and so far, the front camper cabover vista windows area on his models are always flat across the front when the 1:1 rigs had a much more complex curve to them. Being a static plastic model vehicle builder myself, I know how aiming for deadly accuracy can stop a model build-up dead in its tracks, as opposed to taking various 'git-'er-done' shortcuts. He gets his done and puts them through their paces instead of having them stagnate on his builder's bench.trying to find out info on this one...
Mucho thanks, always best for all to assume I haven't seen any of these or that I haven't caught the latest updates to their status. Over at handloader90's 2016 post about it, I added my update post yesterday a few hours before you spotted it, resulting from other guys alerting to the reappearance of this one and its ... well .... asking price. I hugely appreciate any and all alerts about these, because I miss more than I catch myself.https://www.facebook.com/groups/1194237577618641/permalink/1989162768126114
... profile (Richie Phillips listed as seller) and it looks like it's in Iowa. Edit: Seller replied with #1036
That is a nice chalet

Actually ...... 3. Except only technically. As ever, I greatly appreciate any and all alerts to these even if I happen to know about them already because sometimes - as in this case - something changes about their status within days or even within hours. Another guy had alerted me about these three via email on Jan 2 -- Chalet #0100 that's now seen in this revised "One for sale" listing, and the other one that is the '77 Chalet #1112, and the 3rd one, seen in my screengrab below, Chalet #0206. It's the same webaddress, the guy just altered the description text and photos between Jan 2 and today. One for sale. 2 in the pictures.
There's actually two brown/tan '77 Chalets in that video, whoever created that FB "Reels" video assembled the clips off two separate unrelated Tik-Tok videos. The clips of the first one - with its non-original orange plaid cab seats - came from a longer video made by the Aug-Nov 2023 owner / flip-saler of Chalet #1683. I mentioned that particular rig over in the other thread about the 'realism' of auction bids at the "Bring a Trailer" site (post #17). A guy working for the person who now owns it contacted me just recently to find out how to properly re-do the camper stripes in the correct factory colors. This popped up ....
Beat ya to it, but not by much - it's best for everyone to assume I don't catch all of these, or when I do, that I haven't caught the latest updates for status on 'em. Thus, please do keep all the alerts coming!showed up in my feed today ....
Kind of along the same vein, but still wrong, FairRC is coming out with a Chalet style camper body to sell for the upcoming FCX18 K10 truck that gets released tomorrow. Thanks, I've seen that model builder's other prior works, and it appears he's quite skilled in many aspects of R/C models. Seen a variation of that at either Hum3D or some other 3D file-selling site a year or 3 ago, like what's seen here https://3dmodels.org/3d-models/chevy-blazer-chalet-1976/ Whoever drew it just leaped to the conclusion that it was a slide-in camper for a pickup and then stretched it a bit to fit on the K10 they'd likely already drawn. From what I could see, the only way to contact the 3D artist was to be a member of the place he was uploading his files to..... FairRC is coming out with a Chalet style camper body ....
Running late on replying, many thanks for the alert! Another of my eagle-eyed pals alerted me to this #0271 Chalet last weekend, but to repeat what I said a few posts before, it's best for everyone to assume I don't catch all of these, or when I do, that I haven't caught the latest updates. This particular one had its 15 minutes of internet fame eons ago in the old blazerchalet forum (co-created by our CK5 guys dremu and azblazer) in the 4th line of photos of the "Other Chalets" page, 3rd & 4th photos there. The current seller indicates this #0271 never did ultimately change ownership, and that the guy selling it eons ago, Bill Burk, recently died of cancer.@a77blazerchaletLog into Facebook

I have seen that circumvention of FB Marketplace's price info requirement a few times before on these rigs, but call me ignorant on social media usage -- I see no appeal for selling anything on FB Marketplace, it is as obtuse to search through at a nationwide level as Craigslist is. FB's search area circles used to be 1200 miles in diameter, now they are only 500. And just like Craigslist, scammers take advantage of the system. It appears of of those is doing exactly that with my former #1747 Chalet, listing it in a group selling account for allegedly CA smog non-compliant vehicles .... except this alleged seller of my rig is using all the photos of it out of a 2 year-old FB Marketplace ad in Florida which for some odd reason is still online. I tried contacting the moderator of the CA vehicles group account, but the result came back that the guy doesn't permit incoming messages into his own personal account, which looks fishy. I tried looking up his CA business name, and it has practically no internet presence, which looks even more fishy. Thanks, I did not know that. Haven't ever bought or sold on that
