Fads come and go in the automotive world just like anything else. The Bro-dozers are the current fad just like the full blown fast and furious ricers 10 years ago. One thing I can bank on is these "Bro's" are not "Built not Bought" type. No innovation, just build me one that looks like that one. There has to be some shops installing these lift kits, selling the wheels and tires laughing their asses off making money charging a mint for the work. This fad will fade with time. Then something else will replace it.
These Bro's are posers. Wannabe car guys.
Now the Gas Monkey goons are going to be lost without Aaron. He really had a good eye and wanted to make stuff that ran hard. His Pikes Peak Falcon is bad ass. The show has been advertising for a "car builder" for almost a month as a casting call. I predict the builds get sillyer and less hard core as they move forward. The show will fizzle out from there. It's following the same pattern of American Chopper for sure. Start out small, build a couple of sweet projects that get the name on the map, market the snot out of it and have huge growth fast. Then the drama of the builder vs the boss. Builder quits, show dies by the next season.
