Welcome him to the 1 ton club with Detroits in both front and back. /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif There is also a funny story that goes with his axles but he can tell you that. Let's just say it's a small world. /forums/images/graemlins/rotfl.gif

1 tons are "elite"? /forums/images/graemlins/rotfl.gif

I've been 1 ton since '90 and haven't turned back since. /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif

Whatcha got planned for the 44? Hmmm??? /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif
Congrats, btw. I'm envious. Trying to get my husband in the same club.

I'm trying to get into that club also, but just haven't ment the requirements yet. /forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif

I'm down to 2 now. One under my '85 and one in the shed as a spare for my '85. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif /forums/images/graemlins/rotfl.gif

you dana 60 hoarder whore /forums/images/graemlins/rotfl.gif

Cleaned, painted and got her in tonight. Still need to do some "small" stuff i.e. ram, crossover, 35 spline stubs etc. but now the guys at the shop can move it around while Im in Missouri over Christmas.

Asfar as my 44 (or as I now refer to it---my Forty-no-more!!!) goes, I sold it with my 15X10 rims and TONS of extra parts. Man, I was sick of those silly -297x u-joints. But on the other hand, it held up well and I guess you could say that it was a training aide!!

K30-sorry you were 1ton when 1ton wasnt KEWL!!!!!

But when you get here, I will bet you everything you own and all the money, assets you have, that you will never find this shed. /forums/images/graemlins/eek.gif /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif /forums/images/graemlins/rotfl.gif

Thats because I was not trying to be cool. I was already tired of breaking everything from being a heavy footed 20 year old.

I was also one of the first people to start the 1 ton trend! /forums/images/graemlins/deal.gif /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif

BTW, around '90 is when the D60 fronts started to become the "hot ticket". Check out the magazines back then and you will see that Boyce Equipment started advertising their M1008 axles in every magazine. They were pretty cheap back then, too. /forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif

Now you need to tell everybody the story on your front axle. /forums/images/graemlins/ears.gif

I don't want to hear that a 35 spine Dana 60 is bulletbroof. My buddy destroyed his long shaft!!! Anyway, he replaced it with the newer style larger diameter 35 spline shaft. Instead of it tapering down after the splines then tapering back up at the other end, it is the same size the entire lenght.

Well, ever the local 4 Wheel Parts store said that if anyone could break one, it'd be him!!!
