A friend runs one in his mud truck. Believe he has a 396 bored with the 2-speed. Seems to be pretty happy with it

thats application i was looking for...side by side mud drags, 3 speeds seem to only use 1st and 2nd and at finishline....was curious if any pg's had removable tailshaft or divorced case is only way to put a pg in.

IIRC the powerglide does not have a removable tail housing so it would need to be a divorced mount t-case.

the new GM topkicks do, probably a little pricey, but pretty tough

The tailhousing does come off but it leaves a long tailshaft. Lot's of boggers around here build custom adapters and run them.
