I've got a '70 and I cant seem to find a T/case shifter boot. LMC sells the later round style. Mine is the rectangular style. Anyone know where I can get one?

I don't think it's been replaced. It's different than the pic you have too. I'll take a pic of it.

Interesting... I know part number 6274165 only has 4 holes in it. Like the setup below. It also is off center. Maybe it could be hacked to work with your setup. This may be rather rare. What is the width and lenght of your boot?

Intresting that you have 6 bolts for the cover. I've never seen that before. Also it is really cool that you have the NP 205 indicator plate. It was tought that this plate did not exsist. The NP 205 shifter boot from a 72 I have does not have a floor indicator plate.

What is on the left side of the plate? The boot covers it. I'm planning on making a plate for the NP 205 I swapped into where the NP 203 was. The photo below is from a NP 203.

What type of rig do you have?

Im curious as to what T-case that is? You said it shifts in a U-pattern? The 205 was a straight line just like the 203. 208 and 241 are straight with a detent between Hi and low

Oh.. that explains the indicator patern on the floor plate. It makes a U shape. The shift nob looks like my 72 NP 205 shift nob but with out the markings.

Should all NP 205s shift linear? This is getting really interesting.

nothing under the boot. 2WD is in the center (you can just make out the 2)

I'm not sure what the t/case is. That was one of the questions I was going to ask. I'll get under it tomorrow and snap pics. From your post, I kinda think it might be a 205:dunno:

I've been looking around on the web. I think you may have Dana 20. The Dana 20 used in Full Sized Jeeps and Commandos had a U-pattern with 2HI up and left, 4HI back left, N back right and 4 LO up right. that is what i found on the web.

I don't think the knob had any markings on it. The transmission knob is worn enough that the markings are almost gone.

Did GM offer a Dana? As far as I know everything is still original except the motor.

Yes according to Wiki... http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chevrolet_K5_Blazer

It only came behind manuals which is what you have. So you would need to find a boot for a dana 20 with a GM setup.

Here is a good thread I found on the topic. You may just want to go with the boot I mentioned.

I've seen maybe a half dozen Dana 20 T-cases installed in 67-72 GM 4x4's....most were behind a 3 speed manual transmissions,,but they did have a few with the SM465 (or SM420?) 4 speeds too...a pretty rare bird!..

YUp,that sure looks like a Dana 20...if I recall correctly, they have a pan like a tranny on the drivers side and it appears yours does--also the 2 shifter rods protruding from the case also is a I.D.

Most of the ones I saw were behind six cylinder engines with 3 speed Muncie trannys,a few were in trucks with 307's and 283's ,we had two 4x4's at the junkyard that had them, one was a '68 K20 with a 307/ 4 speed, the other was a 70-72 K-5 that had a 250 six in it..the transfer case to tranny adapter for one of these is a very rare peice and hard to find, and $$$$$ if you are lucky enouygh to get one...we sold a guy the tranny/t-case out of that K-5 for 150 bucks, and he said he could get that on E-bay easily just for the adapter...(and there is a specific adapter for whatever tranny it went with too!)--I heard GM made a few 4x4's with this T-case and a Powerglide, but I have yet to ever see one,and dont beleive it till I do,I cant remember ever seeing a Powerglide in a 4x4 ,not factory anyway..
