SPARE TIRE CARRIER BUMPERS.....from Blazenoffroad.

I rarely had anything in them but it wasn't that bad, unless you were a 12 year old girl or something. ;)

Thanks. I will be checking agin soon. Last time I checked the prices were high for low quality crap. I would like to find the metal screw in cap....

The only ones I found locally were $50 blitz jerry cans or there was some on ebay for around $25 + $20 shipping, so I decided to just buy new ones.

Steve thanks for the idea on the J cans.

and Badfish4tail PM me your shipping info and I'll get it together :D

Jesse

well done

Very Nice. I like....I might fancy a purchace.

Any way....

You could make one of these fit my 93 C2500 with a 3" body lift? I would be towing 4-7k once and a while... I need to replace my hitch anyway (3 years in Hawaii will KILL most painted steel or at least wound it seriously).
ANYONE KNOW WHERE I CAN GET THIS type of rear bumper? The best I could sing would be $5-600, and a spare tire mount would be great, but with a lowered tire height so I could still see out of my cargo doors.

I don't currently have a bumper to fit that model truck, nor do I know of a manufacturer. But my Mom has a similar body style truck in Tahoe, I'm going there for X-mas and could take some measurements and make some brackets for a template. Let me know if you don't find anything by then.

Thanks
Jesse

Several potential customers mentioned they wanted a Swing out tire carrier setup, so here you go.

The bumper is made out of 2"x6" 1/4" rectangular tubing, with 1/2 inch shackle tabs. A receiver hitch can be added.

The swing out tire carrier starts from a Rockstomper tire carrier spindle. The tire carrier is constructed with 1 3/4" .120 HREW and 1/4" plate. On the spare tire mount I welded up a receiver hitch, so you can slide your spare tire off the receiver and unbolt it from the tire plate adapter. The main idea behind this was to make installing you tire easier, this way you don't have to line up bolt holes while you hold your tire in the air and fumble to put the nuts on. Just bolt tire to plate adapter, slide assembly into hitch, and lock in place with a hitch pin.

The jerry can, cooler, or accessories mount is made of angle iron and provides loops for tie downs.

There will also be a Hi-lift jack mount incorporated into the tire carrier. Also the tire carriers will have two more vertical supports.

This carrier was built to be tall enough and deep enough to allow up to a 40" tire. I will post some pics when I get some help getting my 40" mounted up there. So the carrier can be bulit shorter for people only planning on running smaller tires.

The entire package price is
$499.99 + freight shipping
Can you send thoses pictures to cuellar @usc.edu so I can take a look.

thanx

Whoops missed this reply,

You will need at least a 2" wide rectangular bumper. You can either cut a hole and weld in the hinge, or you can weld in a sleeve and slide the carrier in for easy removal.

I'm sure this is a dumb question but it does come painted or powder-coated or something, right? :o

How much to powder coat? I have a place close to me but I'm all about one-stop shopping. :)

how much for the bumper and the spare tire mount, no jerry can? i'll probably end up getting one after i get some spare cash.
