spare tire carriers

looking for info on spare tire holder that mounts on the tailgate. I saw the photo of Burt4x4s in the thread about tops off. Is his tailgate still function with that style? What are people doing?

Yes the gate still works. Most rear carriers swing out.

I have a factory swing-out carrier. It's a rickety POS, but it works. It has hinges that mount to the body of the Blazer and has a latch strike mounted to the tail gate.
