You mean bench like behind the bench seat?

There's a factory spare holder that goes behind the seat, they also made a factory swing away spare tire holder that hangs off the quarter panel too.

Yeah I mean bench like behind the bench seat, using factory mounting points. I've seen the swing out types but not what I'm looking for. I want in the bed type, I've never seen one for sale. Besides I've read they only hold up to 32" spares. I'm running 35"s.
Hey VT...how do you like the Half Top, I'm seriously considering cutting mine!

Your correct about the factory carrier but I'd think it'd be an easy mod to make it taller, that would be all it would need to work with 35's.

The cut down top works for me, finding a way to make it look 'finished off' for a daily drive might be tougher, I just used spray in foam, shaved it down and painted it black.

I like it for the easy off and the shade it provides.

I'm in the middle of cutting down a soft top to have it snap all around my family cage too, once that is done I can run either/or together or one at a time.

Here are a couple I've saved off the net.

$8 Spare Tire Holder/Stand

Fits Up to a 40" spare tire now and Hi-Lift jack. Had to move location of resting position for tire as to not hit rear wheel well.. Check it out!! Almost finished a few buttons to stitch up.....

if I had a tig welder I would be making all kinds of cool **** like this! Looks great man! did you just move it to center of the body, or is it still offset?

Looks real good. Do you think it will need any support bracing running at an angle from the floor attachment points to somewhere on the back side of the upright portion?

I dont think ill need it. Swing outs, Dont have it. The tire will sit on the floor.
Wish me luck, I've been busy building a coffee bar..
I need about 2 more hours to finish it up
