spartan vs lockright

Well I am going to look around and try to find the best price on both but will probably get the spartan do I have to pull the axle shafts to install them?

the lockright my buddy did and others have said you need to pull 1 shaft out around 1/4-1/2 inch to get the gears to drop in the carrier.

its a little more than just pry bar on the outside.

but some have droped in. all depends on the end of the shafts if thay clear or not.

It also depends on the gear ratio. 4.88 And lower you will have to pull the carrier and remove the ring gear.

Of course you need to pull the shafts, the shafts need to go in the locker, but all you need is a couple of inches.
And you do need to pull both sides because the shafts have to go in it from both sides.
It took me 1 hour to do both a front D44 and a rear 12b and that included me not having ever taken appart axles especially a semi floater.
And I love my locrite, rode it hard in my half ton axles for 6 years and now it will live on on my waggy.

I have had a lockright in my rig for like 7-8 years with a built 454, doubler, and 40s to 43s and never had an issue with it. Have broken 4 shafts, 1 joint, and numerous hubs back in the day.
