i have had my welder for about 4 months now and im using it quite a bit but still get the spatter around my welds. i also tried the anti-spatter spray and it helps but something is off. is it my wire speed? the surfaces are ground down to bare metal and clean. what else can cause this? i have welded with gas at at a friends shop and it wasnt as bad but he adjusted everything as far as wire speed, arc volts ect. what am i doing wrong?

yes its flux core
Well that's your problem. It does this by design, well side effect. Switch to solid core wire and use shielding gas, if your welder has provisions for this.

Thats why a couple months after I got my welder I switched it to MIG. Was the Lincoln Weld Pack 100 I think. I use CO2 cuz a buddy got me a bottle and its also what I use for the keg. So if I ran out on the keg I know I'm still good to go!!
