I have a 87' with a 350,(msd ignition) I was wondering if there is any advantage (power or performance wise) to bumping the timing a few degrees one way or the other. And if so how many degrees should I go? Just a thought I know my buddies mustang runs a hair quicker with his bumped up. Thanks

If you 87 is fuel injected, leave the timing stock. The ecu uses timming as part of its programing. I had mine advanced a few deg and it ran awfull. Put it back to stock like the sticker under the hood says and performance and milage came right back.
