What are the years for when the grille/headlight/front end changed styles. I love the front end of the '71-'72's and think it changed in '73? When did it change after that and to what? Anymore changes after this? Is it hard for say to put a '72 front end on a '75?

69-72 was it's own body style. Grills changed a little each year.

73 was a complete re-vamp with a completely new body, and the Blazer and Jimmy were still full convertables. The hood and cowl were integral and the hood hinged off the fenders.

76 was the first year for the half cab.

80 was the first year you could get square headlights, but the front end was still pretty much unchanged.

81 the front end was re-designed, the hood sloped down a little and the 4 square headlight frontend was intro'd. The cowl was now separate from the hood, and the hood hinged off the firewall/body rather than the fenders.

89 (or 90?) the baby quad front end appeared.

doors and tailgate interchange from 73-91

This page has a lot of other info that should help too.
