That spec plate is the new version of the ones my dad made in the 60s, for building race cars. They even welded their own wheels.

The only extra wheels I have laying around right now are 8-lug. Cool thing is I can rent it out. Charge $25 to rent with a $75 refundable deposit.It doesn't come back I'm not out anything.
I've seen some homemade ones and thought about it but this wasn't all that expensive.
Got the jig adjusted and tires fitted and found I can go squared like I want rather than staggered. So I'll be running 275/40/18 tires on 18x9.5 6.0BS wheels. Not full on pro touring sizes but I'm about to the limit before I'd have to start cutting on the frame and sheet metal.
Got my wheels a couple weeks ago and finally able to get the tire mounted and balanced.

I'll put them on soon to make sure I didn't screw up my measurements but they won't stay on until it's time to hit the road again. I don't want to damage them while I'm working on it. With all the family stuff I've had come up this last month it's a wonder they're not still sitting in the garage.What no on car pics

Out with the old. This one's looking to go into my brother in laws C-10 project with some upgrades.
Checked the fit on the new wheels. Plenty of room.

I've been on there for about 11-12 years.
Picked up some Chevelle steel inner fenders to replace the crappy plastic factory pieces.
What do we have here?
Got my master cylinder and booster installed, made a bracket and installed the hydro clutch reservoir, cleaned some parts for paint and ordered some parts. Hopefully I can get the brakes and steering operational soon so I can move it out of the garage so I can pressure wash the engine compartment so the engine can go in.
Made some progress. I got the steering functional again as well as getting the column plugged back in. I got the pedals hooked up but messed up on the clutch linkage for the hydro setup. Got some new parts on the way for that. I got to find the neutral switch and harness and get that installed along with filling and bleeding the brakes. Hopefully the weather will clear long enough to pressure wash the engine compartment.
Finally finished installing the clutch rod for the hydro clutch. Now I can't find the extension harness for the neutral safety switch. I know I ordered one when I ordered the switch but it has disappeared like other stuff has since our move a few years ago. I know I'll find it when I get another one ordered and installed.
