Spotted this on the way home...

hmmm...I can power brake my 38.5's with my 4.10's in 4lo...seems like you would be able to...
 
You would think so, but the transmission just won't do it with those gears. Can't wait to see how it responds to 3.73 or 4.10 gearing. Probably be able to smoke all four, especially if I can get my wife to allow me to buy that new LS7 I have been eyeing.

Ok and also let me clarify...its not really the chirping that is interesting to me its just that when guys do it shows that they at least have enough power/gears (or a combo of the two) to match the meats they are rolling on...

With a full locker in the rear all you have to do is turn the wheel a bit and hit the gas. Your tires will bark. Does not take any power You can do it with a 4 banger. The bigger the tires the easier it is to do and they bark better on the pavement.
If the guy lit both of those 41s up going in a straight line...? Now that might impress me.
Other than to make some noise and show off to you I dont see any other reason he locked in his ARB on dry pavement. He prolly could not have made even a little squeak if he had not locked it in and was running his diff open..
 
I'm sure it was locked b/c both chirped...oh and he was going in a straight line through the empty parking lot @ DMV...
 
back when i had my 355 in my truck with the welded rear, its was quite easy to get it sideways coming out of a parking lot. it would chirp the tires just turning with no pedal. it wouldn't take much to light them up in a straight line also, i just lost it when i shifted.

normally I would have been laughing about that but w/o speaking to someone in person its impossible to tell when they are being sarcastic and joking around about stuff, not to mention we don't normally get along...

If I took that the wrong way I apologize.
