Hey, guys.

I'm going to be spraying a rattleguard liner in my K5 in the next few weeks. For those of you that might have also done the spray in liner, where did you run all your interior wires? Is there some sort of conduit that works pretty well? Any ideas would be great. Thanks for your help.

Jason

In mine, I haven't gotten the liner sprayed in, but the wiring is routed along the trans hump to the rear seat ledge, then over to the driver's side side panel. It is all in split loom, but there are quite a few other option for loom. I have three bundles, one for trailer brake/charge systems, one for tail light systems, and one for the dome light system. This seemed to work well for me.

I have seen some guys use actual conduit to provide a solid protection, that is an option, just not one I wanted for my interior.

Here is a pic of my LINE X

I had to contend with 3 sets of wires that run under the carpet

1) 4x4 indicator/lights going to 4x4 shifter

2) rear speaker wires

3) rear/center dome light wires

I havent dealt with the speaker wire just yet. I dont have side panels any more and am still trying to figure out where I want to put wires.

The 4x4 wires, I just put in some wireloom and have it running centered from the under the dash straight down to 4x4 shifter. The floor is black and the wire loom doesnt look bad. As long as its straight, it doesnt look too out of place.

As far as the dome lights, that was easy. I drilled a small hole in firewall by the fuse panel. I ran the wires thru the hole and under the chasis. I than drilled a hole where the dome light wiring comes down the inside of the panel. There are a couple clips that holds the wire to the inside wall. I drilled a hole straight down. You cant see the wire unless you look behind there. Ill try to get a pic later on.

As far as the speaker wire. Ill probably just route them under the truck like I did the dome light wire. I put the dome light wire in black loom under the truck.

I just dont think any wires will look right running along the inside of the truck, but thats just me.

Yeah...I didn't really want any wires showing either. THat's a good idea about running the dome light wire under the truck. I'm building new interior panels out of 1/8" steel diamond tread, so I think I can run my speaker/cargo light wires behind there and come up from underneath.

Thanks for all the input, fellas.

I ditched the 4x4 indicator stuff. All that was left was the speaking wires I ran.

O and the Amp power/cb antenna. Thats zip tied nice and neat every 8in and tucked between the floor and weather stripping at the bottom of the door.

i ran mine inside of heater hose (amp, speakers, rca) and used conduit clamps to hold them down to the floor beside the tranny tunnel.
