I'm doing an axle swap and putting a 14bff under the 72 k5. I want to lift it at the same time as the swap. I'm using ORD's 4" shackle flip which will net me about 2" over what I had, because I'm taking out the 2" blocks. I want to go to a 6" lift, but am quickly burning up the budget for this project. Ideally, I'd like to buy 6" lift springs for the front and 2 " lift springs for the back. I could save a few hundred bucks on the rear springs by using the overloads from the donar axle's spring packs along with zero rates....should get me the extra 2" I need. So, after all that, the question is.....has anyone used 2 overload springs on a spring pack.....is it like using an add-a-leaf.....what about ride quality.
Other options include a 2" add-a-leaf and ditching the overload spring thing or just save up the cash for the 2" springs. Any thought would be appreciated.
Thanks
