This could be an interesting subject. How do they classify factory installed optional auxilliary lights? Both my truck and my wife's car have factory installed fog lights that you turn on seperately from the headlights........but they are wired to only come on with the low beams. My last truck had the same setup also. Can they get around this law if there are factory installed?

According to the statute, fog lamps may be used with the low beams, but what are fog lamps????????????????????????

OK defines auxilary lights as lights to provide illumination to the front of the vehicle and fog lamps as lights to provide illumination during conditions of inclement (they have the specifics, but this is easier to say) weather. I guess someone could make a case for the "auxilary" lights to be fog lamps, but from experience, fog lamps are usually amber, not white.................

All three vehicles I mentioned had white/clear "auxilliary" lights.

Hmmm, mudflaps OR fenders. It's easier to build mudflaps than to build fenders. It's also easier to store them when on the trail since they're flat.
But I know some states have fender laws (utah) so that wouldn't work for them.

Here's some more pics

Colorado also seems to be OK with aux. lights as long as they're not on with the dims. I run my Hella rally 3000's on the road all the time, but I dim earlier than I normally would and live on a pretty empty road with lots of deer.

Must be nice to be able to leave that metal bare for a bit and not worry about it catching cancer on ya... :D

yikes, them are some taaaaalllll jack stands on the backround there... i could use some of them! :) I like the rocker area... looks very beefy, very high and very narrow compared to stock! Im a big fan of rocker replacement as opposed to adding sliders below the factory rockers. Sure, those sliders protect the factory sheetmetal, but they also rob clearance. Don't see a point in compromising on that one...

I mounted the a couple of the new IROKs with the pneumatic badlocks yesterday so that package is all legal and shouldn't raise any flags.
where did you get those? are they the Staun ones? All the places i called said they were not in the states yet,
I have the same tires and wanted to do the same thing but i could not find them anywhere

They're Stauns, I'm pretty sure I can find a set of you're interested.
I will warn you, I was ready to sell them after installing the first one and then the 2nd one went pretty smooth. I timed #2 and it was about 75 min. start to finish and that included moving the valve stem on the H2 wheel, and drilling the hole for the 'lock.
Just know before hand that you're going to fight them a bit till you get them figured out and then they should go pretty smooth.

It's relatively dry here so stuff that's inside takes a long time to rust up. We did get to WD40 a chassis today since it's outside and it's been rainy the last couple of days.

The "jackstands" under the rear are actually sawhorses, they work out great. The front tall jackstands were built by us (my dad actually) a few years ago just for stuff like this.

Sounds like a brotha ain't gettin no love. :D

I ain't gettin no love either since mines right behind the other one outside getting rained on too.

What would you do with a pole in the barn? You got dancers too?

You might try telling the guys they can only dance on their breaks and lunch hours, that way it wont interfere with the work.

We only get them for special occasions. I guess we could make lunch pretty special that way huh?

I mounted the other 2 liners and Iroks last night, it ran about 3.5 hours to modify 3 wheels and mount up the 2 tires. The last tire/liner mounting session took about 25 min. and was pretty painless. In fact, I'd say it went pretty smooth.
Keep in mind I moved the valvestems in the H2 wheels so that was more than half the total wheel modification time.
