I was able to hang a couple more sheets yesterday. I forgot I had the multi-tool for cutting out the outlet holes. It saved a bit of time and helped with getting cleaner cuts.20260713_185432.jpg

Tonight, I was able to finish up one long wall and start on the back wall. Another night or two and I should be ready to start mud/tape.

I love that multi tool, oscillating tool.
I have 2 at all times one with a flat blade and one half a circle

I think in one of his tips and tricks posts, AgDieseler brought up the usefulness of having dedicated tools like that, along with necessary consumables. It's a game changer for sure when your rolling.

Yeah.
I have 3 4.5" grinders one with a cutting wheel, one flap disk, and one carbide cup for grinding flat concrete.
Couple of skill saws one rough cut one finish cut.
Etc...
2 drills, pilot holes on one and concrete bit on the other.
3 impact drivers, torx, philips, and 1/4" or 5/16" hex bolt driver.
I didn't start for that reason.
I had one 10 piece set but then I wanted a tool I didn't have but it was part of a kit of 5 or six tools and only $100 more than by itself.
It was a no brainer.
Did that a couple of times.
Now that I have them might as well use them

The only double I have is the impacts at the moment. I use them so much taking things apart on parts trucks, I bought a second one when the first one failed and was sent in for repair because using the air impact for backup sucks. I technically have a second drill available because my wife bought her own for the house and I made sure she grabbed one with the same batteries as my tools.

That was smart. Melinda has her own tools I bought for her. A great little set with sockets, wrenches, pliers, hammers, ratchets etc, etc.
She bought her own cordless drill set, it doesn’t use the same batteries as mine :doah:
