it isn't like anti-freeze. more like a gas. so bucket would be pointless

Oh i didnt know that, so if its does go into the air will it just blow away pretty quick?

no way to tell i don't think. probably none to not much in it but not worth letting it go into the ozone either

ok ic thanks ill look at it all tonight and make a decison wether i will do it myself tonight or get it drained. but most likely I will have more questions soon...thanks

Ok i already have another question, the two hoses that go into the back of the grill into the raidiator can i just undo thoes or do i have to plug the holes into the rad. Also what is the plastic black can that is on the driver side of teh radiator with liek 5 hoses going in to it?

where the hoses go shouldn't connect to your radiator at all. it goes into the coolant condenser for your a/c. if you decide to take em off yourself be careful!! it's got freon i'm sure in them

as for the plastic can it's just for smog stuff. i have never left em in anything i own but inspections may differ there

EDIT:the a/c condenser is right behind the radiator and looks mainly like a small one

Note that Freon is nasty stuff and is alleged to freeze your eyeballs if it gets in contact with them. If you think there's still Freon in the system, have it done by a pro, or be weeeery careful and keep your eyes/nose the h3ll away from the hoses when you disconnect them.

Did you say you bought this truck from that GM Truck Center guy, Henrik whassisname? The truck with dead AC and needing all new front end parts?

ok sorry i see what you are saying so i went and did it and disconnected one of the hoses and the pressure pushed out so i guess that there was still some freon but anyways only a little light headed so i came back inside so now that one hose is off will all the fron leak out?

Yeah right guy.

SO I got the ac clutch off and all the hoses that go with it but i had a question, do i need to plug the where the hoses hook up into the ac thing that looks like a radiator that is in front of the rad. (what is that called again)

no.. if your ditching the ac, you may as well pull the condensr out too..

to find your squeel, take some penetrating oil (wd-40, etc) and start squirting various areas till it goes away... water pump bearing, alt bearing, and finally the alt and power steering belts..

you should have about a 1/2" of deflection on your belts....

belts should be replaced once squeeling, but an oldschool trick to make em stop for awhile is to cut a potato in 1/2 and rub it on the belt...
