Squirrel, the 1977 Wagoneer

A 4500 car should have woodgrain trim.
Model: chopped

If you repurpose the LQ4, what would you do for the Charger?

An ally block 4.00" or 4.060" bore LS. I'd like to drop the iron block, anyway, but it's good for short term mockup in the car.

If it an auto to be, start with a 400 or a 4L80e
Oh, Romeo.

I thought this might tickle your fancy.

4L80e fits perfect in a square body.
It’ll fit, especially if you hate the vehicle you put it in
Certainly, a little tin work doesn’t bother me, and it’s likely just to a bunch of plated in tube work, anyway. We might push the LS and seating position pretty far back compared to stock. I’m a six footer, and I hate the way most of these trucks feel with fixed columns and benches.

Yeah buddy! Can't wait to see this one.

I've seen a couple of the new Wagoneers and they don't seem to have a Jeep badge on them.

Should be a cool build @AgDieseler. Used to be a guy that came to Blazer Bash and wheeled with him in Colorado that had a Wagoneer built similar to your goals. Always worked really well.

I was hoping you’d leave it multicolored.
The only thing I’d consider giving it is more wood grain. As is, the colors do it for me.

New cage, a roof panel or two.
Definitely a new cage, and one that will add meaningful structure.

I reluctantly left it alone.
You’re a stronger man than I.

LQ4 in the Jeep, Mopar in the ummmmm Mopar
Yes and no. I’m committed to misbehaving.

Yeah buddy! Can't wait to see this one.
I’m excited. It’ll be a good break from the charger when the time comes. Until then…

Air quotes…
It’s the only body style under that brand for which I’ve ever held any interest, and unlike the suburban, I have no duty to its past.

That’s a slick build, and is similar to the wheelbase I have in my mind. Thanks for digging that up.

They are trying to make it some “separate” luxury brand.
For sure. This will be luxury, too. Like, good valving and maybe even an 8-into-1 stainless exhaust.

I like them. They're baby suburbans in my eyes lol
