Anyone here install a Stak 4x4 transfer case in there blazer? Did you need to modify the floor to get it to fit? I want to install it flat so it is even with the frame?
I have an 87 with a 700r4

have any pictures of you install?

If you want to clock the t-case flat you will have to mess with the floor or install a body lift.

It also depends on if its the 2 speed or 3 speed case.

I don't really what to lift the body. Is there enough room under the seats to modify the floor?

I cut the factory seat brackets and bent a peice of tube that goes over the hole and the seat is welded to it.

85mudblazin has a stak 2speed in his blazer buggy. He had to cut a good amount of the floor

Just did one in mine--have pics just not on the computer right now. I have a 1"BL and about a 4" lift. I moved the case as far up toward the body as I could and still had to clock it down to get the front driveshaft at a decent angle. at ride height i was already maxing the 1410 so i had to go to a high angle CV. Even with it clocked as i do i only have about 3/4" of the case hanging down below the frame. Oh, and i did have to modify the floor for the shifters

Were do the shift levers come out at. I would really like to see some pictures is you get a chance.
Thanks
Steve

thats almost how much i had to cut out. youi can make the shifters much shorter by cutting the tube and shortening the linkages.

Yep, I bought the rear mount for the transfer case. They said to use the mount on the passenger side to stop it from twisting.
