The hole on the drivers side is for me to reach through and set my winch to freespool. I mounted the winch to the back of the bumper between the framerails. The center rectangle is where the winch cable comes out and the roller fairlead attaches. The hole on the passenger side is for umm...(thinking up an excuse) for one of several things: right now it is a step when I'm working on the engine, it may be the location for my PA speaker for my cb, or I might mount a couple of lights in the holes by using a hinge so that normally only the lights will be seen unless I need the winch or I need the step. Besides I thought only one hole looked funny, now I wish I had left just the one lol.84gmcjimmy said:TTT...
leper, what are those big holes for in the front of the bumper?
Oh I see. I remember trying to figure a way to raise my bumper after I got it on. As far as the winch goes, most will fit between the framerails under the grill. You can put it in from the bottom/back side.rdn2blazer said:its really not as bad as it looks, that was a concern though. i wanted to have enough room for the winch to remove without removing the bumper if necessary. plus the bumper has been raised pretty high.
