Starter

the intake side of plug will have more color than the exhaust side. Plus each cylinder has different air flow. black sooty plugs or bright white are colors you need to worry about. the plug in bottom picture right looks like oil, if cyl 8 could be trans modulator TH350 leaking, or rarely brake fluid from master leaking into booster then scavenged by intake vacuum. the other plugs color are acceptable

Awesome thanks

Bigger issue according to my plugs
If the deposits are on one side of the plug, this is an indication of upper engine wear valves, seals, cylinder head

Without the plugs being indexed, how would you have any clue what side was facing where?

Indexing spark plugs mean you marked the ground strap direction on the insulator, and then starting the threads of the plug so ground strap faces down

the mini starter shouldn't need that bracket. it is shorter and lighter. I don't recall seeing them on oem installs on the newer trucks
