Steel-it

I didn't know there's no avocado season in CA.
We have it year round
yeah, but its only for rich people now. But i will always remember the last 2 quarters of 2020! i was buying BAGs of em at the markets, because the restaurants were all closed and not buying em!

Looking for real world reviews from anyone who has used this product on chassis parts that see harsh conditions or abuse. I have researched this product a lot and can’t seem to find what I’m looking for. Its expensive and I would like to know if it really holds up on a frame.
is this the stuff that you are supposed to be able to Burn right through with no prep later when you need to weld to the base metal?

also, other comments about uv resistance - does that matter a whole lot on a frame??

I have a personal preference on Rustoleum as a great bang for the buck

I wonder if it doesn’t have UV protection. Never mind … on their website it says it’s up resistant.
I agree they claim it’s UV resistant but I’ve also seen it fade. Prep is the main factor with this stuff (like everything). I prefer rustoleum but this stuff is hella easier to touch up!

UV protection matters to me! My rig sits up enough that people can easily see under it.

Probably because I’m a girl but I personally feel like you don’t care about much when you don’t take care of your ‘downstairs’ too :-)

This Steel it sounds a lot like por 15.
I haven't used Por15 much and never used Steel it. Plus my experience is Avocado winters, which naturally ripen on the tree late Jan early Feb

for some reason I thought steel it was the stuff you can spray on bare metal without needing primer, and it is conductive, and they had been advertising you can strike an arc and burn right through if you ever need to weld -no prep and removal? maybe I'm getting my magical products crossed
