Try heating up the area then use a 2 lbs hammer and hit it hard...
Do not heat parts! The hammer technique works wonders. Just watch the cone washers, when one begins to loosen, thread it out with some pliers and hammer and repeat.2lb is a lite weight.Try heating up the area then use a 2 lbs hammer and hit it hard...
Assuming this is a 10bolt or Dana 44, There is a sweet spot. Sure seems to be anyway. 3" or so from the forward most cone washer.
And like they said, beat it like it owes ya money!

. Like they said above, soak it, hit it, hit it again. I would also recommend leaving the nuts at the top of the studs so that when you miss and hit the stud, it will not mess up the threads.
