I picked up a WTO tapped steering box on the cheap the other day.
Problem is it is inverted flare pre-80 style and my truck is metric o-ring style.
What will I need to convert the high pressure line? Do I need an older pump as well as the line?
I tried a high pressure line from a 77 at the parts yesterday, and couldn't get it to thread in, unless they are just really tight to start.

Any help would be appreciated!

There are adapters available. I haven't used them but try Summit and see.

You might be able to cut the metric fitting off your existing hose and put an inverted flare fitting on it,and flare the tubing...

The O'Reillys on Airport Blvd can make hoses, they should be able the change the end on your hose or make one with mixed ends. They should also have an assortment on hand to try in the box.

I went to Carquest on 90 and azalea, they got me hoses that thread in.
I just now need the older style flared fitting from the back of the pump
