What does push pull steering and locker? or limted slip ? Do when wheeling ?

I couldn't get to full steering lock on either side, possibly due to the traction of the slickrock. And I have a rear locker so the truck just wanted to push and drive straight in the turns.
And when flexed you get the no left turn situation because the push/pull arm is out of travel.

They act like that but worse with a true locker in the front and push pull

push pull is over rated

I am planing on an Eaton Detroit truetrac in my front, wasn't going to change the push pull. has the g80 in the 14bff

Selectable helps some. Mine pushes a lot less with the ARB in the rear so you can unlock it

hmm well I'll have to see. I like the way mine steers. Right arm on arm rest, thumb and index finger holding wheel at @4:30 left arm out the window in the breeze 70 mph.
maybe save that detroit for my Bronco

The truetrac isn't a locker. You won't have the same troubles with that.
My old rumble bee had a welded front diff. Absolutely useless truck in 4wd. Straight lines would have been a breeze lol.
I didn't realize that push pull had anything to do with it.
I had my buddy watch my tires while tried turning hard on gravel. He said both tires turned fine but the truck still just pushed forward. :dunno:
I myself couldn't see it to see if he was mistaken. I just said fork it and went back to open diff.

Maybe I should have just went hydro/crossover and been done.

I have one from them on my '70 with crossover. It's probably 7 years old now and working well. I talked to them about what I wanted before ordering. They built it custom since I wanted to step up to the faster ratio. They set up the torsion bar inside for a nice response. I drove another one from Benchworks that worked well, but sold it years ago.
There are two ratios in factory applications. I have driven 2wd and 4x4 trucks with the slower ratio, and I like the faster one much better. Less spinning the wheel to do maneuvers. I found that in some year, the factory went to all faster ratio boxes, so check to see how many turns lock to lock you have to get an idea. The slow one was slightly more than 4 turns.

I put a redhead on the wifes k5. Super smooth, And that's with crossover steering and 37" tires.
