Steering column replacement.....backup lights come on in "N" not "R"...

Anyone dealt with this one before?

I am guessing that the small electric plug at the end of the column (inside the cab firewall) might have some adjustment to allow me to get backup lights in Reverse instead of Neutral....just thought I'd check first.

My turn signals don't auto-cancel with the new column either....I'll have to check an exploded view and see if I forgot to swap over a cancelling cam that didn't come on the new column?? The indexing mark on the splines is pointing straight up with the wheels straight so I don't think it's a problem with how I stabbed the column into the steering box/rag joint.

Yep. I seem to recall a smallish, say, 1/4" hex headed screw, on each end, and the holes are slotted to allow adjustment.

The cancelling cam, IIRC, is in the plastic bits under the horn where the turn signal stalk comes into the column.

Though, come to think, I'm mouthing off about 73-91's ... I presume you'fre dealing with a 69-72?

Yes...imne does this! its great for at stoplights/and assholes who are too close to yuo. but mine workin reverse also.
