steering issues and 52\" springs?

I seem to be reading about some problems with the 52s and the steering? Currently I just have cross over.

Are the issues with high steer, or also with cross over when going to the 52 inch springs in the front?

Re: steering issues and 52\" springs?

It doesn't really have anything to do w/ the springs... just the axle placement. If you move the axle forward 2" as the 52's do (w/o moving it back w/ a 0 rate) then if you run hi-steer the TR and DL will bind up. If you just run crossover you are golden.

When i spoke to Stephen i asked because i have mine 3.5"s foward and there is no way to run hi steer, he does sell a tie rod that that is burlly as hell /forums/images/graemlins/woot.gif

you will only need the crossover, the stock steering set up will not work since you will have so much flex.

there is no way to run high steer with HIS stuff. I am gonna go with WFO concepts steering arms, puts the tie rod behind the axle. http://www.wfoconcepts.com BlueTorch Fabworks makes some that put the tie rod behind the axle as well.

I'm using longer springs, pushing the axle farther forward and all I had to do with my little dana 44 was drill one more hole in the steering arms. I swapped the tie rod and drag link locations..they can't hit each other now.

I already have cross over... so I think I should be good.
