Steering Knuckle

For the most part. I’m in CA. Not much I can do
Unfortunately true
We just need to know how little horsepower you’re throwing at the wheels

For instance, I’m at 5000’ elevation
Running 37s and 4.10
It’s absolutely no issue for me

Also I am quite possibly putting twice the power on the ground at this elevation than you are at sea level

So me telling you 35” tires and what gearing needs to take that into account. Helps us be realistic about what is the best option for you

I still say 33s and 3.73s
Least expensive, less tire weight

I have had 33’s with 3:73 in my '90 when it was stock, 270K engine. It was ok, but I liked it better with the 4:10 axles that I swapped in because the original rear diff died and I found a cheap set to swap in.

I also have 4:56 gears in my '70 K10 with a 700R4 and a big block. I liked it a lot when I had 33's on it. Now with 35's, it lost a tiny bit of pep, which I notice as it runs around town mostly.

If you have the money available, a gear swap is probably the best way to get some more fun out of it and avoid smog problems.

Get an adjustable DRAC module from @sweetk30
Then you can dial in the speedometer easier.

My current setup is 33’s with 3.73. It sucks motor lugs and transmission struggle finding the gear.

Only 1 way for me to find out lol. I appreciate all the feedback from everyone. I like driving it so the better it drives the more fun I will have.

yep i still do a few every year . . hit me up .

3.73 in 4th is the same as 2.6 ring and pinion. 1750 rpm at 65 mph you aren't even at the beginning of a 350s power band.
For example, i am running 700r4 33s and 4.88s. Granted in a heavy ass k20 burb.
4.88 in 4th equate to 3.42.
If i were to swap up to 35s i can expect my cruise rpm to drop @200-300 rpm. The 350 in my truck really starts to make good power at @2700 rpm. Pulls very strong at 3500-3600, which is @60mph in third.
I don't think I will like 35 or 37s w/o a big block swap or 5.38s which is 3.73 in 4th
