Steering questions

Get a steering box brace from Autofab or ORD and you will probably be pleasently surprised at how much your steering will tighten up.

Crossover steering puts ALOT of extra stress on the frame @ the steering box and Chevy frames are already notoriously weak there. Like I said, if your frame isnt cracked at the steering box now it will be with crossover soon.

If your frame cracks it is more involved to repair requiring removing the steering box and welding in a new piece of plate behind the steering box.

K will get one on and let you know how it feels. Anyone running any type of swaybar with crossover steering?

I have ORD crossover on a 10bolt. The only thing is I have PSC Hrdro assist on it. That made a huge difference. Your sway bar problem well I'm still looking. The only thing I can say is limit straps may help with body roll. I wheel in Big bear all the time and mine has know problem taking the turns. I would like the others check your mounting and maybe toe it in a little.

What year gear box did you use? Pre 72 is likely gonna be the constant ratio box so it will perform differently then what you had previously. The pan hard bar idea MAY tighten up the steering pretty good. Don't normally see them on leaf sprung rigs though. If you flex the truck though that bar will put extra lateral stress on the leaf packs and bushings.
