Has anyone ever installed a Borgeson steering shaft? If you have, just how complicated was it to put in. I'm a novice with this kind of stuff and I would like to replace the stock worn rag joint.

Gouda I hate to admit this, but here goes. I just put one of those on. I bought the one with the stock type flange at the rag joint. I already had a new rag joint bought from LMC. The pinch bolt on the stock rag joint, is a F****** 12 point bolt. Rag joint gets replaced later. I only bought the Borgeson to save my old back 1/2 the bent-over-fender time. Nope. The Borgeson U-joint has a double-D internal profile, which is fine for my truck; 1985 Burb. Problem is, Borgeson's broach appears to be worn. I had to beat that SOB for every .001 of inch. I did finally get the Bastich on. I had to use MAPP on the U-joint, and MEK on the steering coulumn, and hammer time.
We report, you decide.
