Time to replace the sun aged wheel. For those that run aftermarket types what diameter did you go with? I though about using a smaller than stock one but wanted to ask you guys what works best in size and style

I had the huge factory one for almost a year . I hated it , huge , in the way , too skinny .

Got a simple four spoke Grant GT , and its about perfect size .

I like this one......made by Grant.

The quality isn't very good from the factory (which is why I refinished it, and cut more comfortable finger reliefs in the back).... but what I like is that the spokes are very thin and give you good visibility to the gauges. Most steering wheels block your view of the gauge cluster at the seated position. Price was around $100 from Summt IIRC.

Also, this wheel isn't small but it's still a couple inches less diameter than stock, so it doesn't feel quite like driving the school bus anymore.

:usaflag:

I saw someone here running a cavalier steering wheel. It's on the smaller side if thats what you're looking for. Didnt look too bad.

Are the newer style stock units smaller in diameter than the ship's wheel I have?

Look at a 1st Gen..............................
They are 17" wheels. I replaced my stocker with a 17" sprintcar wheel, cause I have manual steering, and a smaller wheel is a real bear off-roading.

Mines 14" , I like the flat bottom for when you drop or spill something in your lap you have more room to move around :eek1: :doah: .
Plus it was real cheap from Summit, less than $100 around a yr ago.

But I need one of the rings around the horn button, theres 3 black rings, its the skinny one in the middle up against the
horn button.Any one happen to have one :begging: :hopeing: :(
