I also have a Grant 13 1/2 inch diameter. It handles great in the garage!!

I saw someone here running a cavalier steering wheel. It's on the smaller side if thats what you're looking for. Didnt look too bad.

I like the cavalier steering wheels also, they generally go for about $50 on ebay. I picked one up at a swap meet for $25. I think they also came on monte carlos but not sure. here is a pic.

It was just over a hundred with the install kit. I think wheel was like 82 bucks. I like the feel of it, a little spongy on the grip but still firm. I like the 4 spoke type more than some of the other types I have seen.

Cool, did the kid know what he was doing though? Did he clean up his mess? I hate when some one works on my truck and leaves greasy finger prints or muddy foot prints...

Nice, child labor for installation. :wink1:

Also....I think the smaller the steering wheel, the easier it is to drive with handcuffs. :haha:

The new style are like 14-15" perfect size. I dont like when they are too narrow. (around the grip size and in diameter)

I run a 14 inch grant wheel. I dont like small wheels and would have went with a factory style just because I like them but a buddy of mine had a $150 grant with I think a cherry wood grip and wanted a smaller one so I bought a cheap one and traded him.:D

My only beef with the 70's ones is that they're too skinny for my old arthritic fingers (I'm 38 :haha: ) The diameter is right on.

I put one of those Kragen foam rubber pads on them, and voila, they're soft, thick enough, and I love 'em.

I had one of the later style ones in a 1990 Burb (go figure!) ... and it was too thick, IMO, and wasn't real comfy on the hands. [I don't want to say "it was too thick and too hard" in this crowd :haha: ]
