Hey y'all! I need some help. My steering sucks. It's as loose as an 80-year old hooker. What are my options to tighten her up a bit. Some price options would be good too if you've got 'em. Any advice y'all have would be great.

I'd check the tie-rod ends, and ball joints.


To do this jack the truck up by the axle tubes and when both wheels are off the ground, Try to move the tire side by side If it gives in and out, then your tierod ends are shot to [censored]. Those usually cost about 40 bucks.

Do the same for teh other wheel.

you could also try tightening the nut (allen head thing) on the steering box. that might help a little also
