Side observation. That tach is used, so Steve had something running up to that rpm

Not sure about the bottom end in this engine, it came with the car. Old race engine is under work bench in garage, it needs to be freshened up and a different cam for street use , it saw that rpm every friday night . It will probably end up in my camaro for the wife to cruise around in.
Thats some revolutions. What were you running for valvetrain?
 
Not sure on a lot of it to tell you the truth , it had screw in studs roller rockers a stud girdles , friend of mines dad was part owner of a local machine shop at the time , he built heads sourced cam from a local cam shop that did custom grinds , he was huge into nascar , built tons of one off engines , he put engine together, told me what to lash valves at , and to go beat the piss out of it.

Right on, I was hoping to hear stud girdles and solid at those numbers!
