Still hesitating

I have gone through a few fuel pumps on my truck. My truck would die sometimes, or I would have to give it a lotta gas to get it moving and it would shift really hard. The times I had hesitation were when I was having a fuel injection system installed that you had to tune yourself and all settings were rich when I was having my problems. The fuel pump actually completely went out on my before and acted like I ran outta gas and in a way I did! Good luck with this.

Any opinions on the timing part? Can I just turn the distributor one way or another and see if that corrects my problem?

Tried to turn the distributor to advance timing, and that did no good at all. I'm out of ideas. Anyone live around the St. Louis area and know anything about this? I need knowledgeable friends
