I have the 6 inch Rough Country kit installed on my truck. It says on the site with the Autotrac POS transfercase i have to have a custom front driveshaft made.

Is it possible to run the stock one? I have been running around with it out for a long while now, going home in a week and a half after being in training for the last 15 months, and would like to do some wheeling with the 'hoe before taking off for korea for the next two years. The 500 dollar new front shaft isnt an option at this point.

Thanks,
Matt

They tell you that because some people put it in the auto position . This is not good because it will vibrate , its also not the right length more than likely after dropping the diff lower .

I have a 99 Suburban with Autotrac and know the front shaft is straight with NO CV .

You're also going to have to rework the front exhaust Y-pipe so it doesn't hit the front shaft.

I forgot the exhaust , even mine with factory duals and dual cats running next to each other has the driver side go right where the shaft will drop to on its way to the passenger side .
