Hey guys I have put a stock q-jet on my 78 Chevy 4x4 with a 350.

I have a edelbrock intake on the motor now and I am trying to hook up the throttle cable using the stock throttle cable bracket and it seems the throttle cable is a little short now. Do you guys use some sort of throttle cable extension to make it work or do you not bother using the stock throttle cable bracket?

Let me know what you think.
Thanks
Matt

what intake do you have? and are you trying to use the bracket that bolts to the rear 2 bolts of the intake? you may need to get the bracket that bolts to the back 2 bolts of the carb. i did that on my TA. i used a bracket from an 84 K10.

Eldelbrock intake

Hey guys I have a eldebrock intake on my motor. I am trying to use the throttle cable braket that came stock on my 78 and its also the same as the one of my 82 c10. The bracket has one botle hole that goes on the very back bolt of the intake manifold and one bolt that bolts just behind the carb as is flat on the manifold.

Does the 84 use a different throttle cable bracket?
