stock t-case?

Its gonna be some money. Really easy stuff, nothing that can't be fixed, but finding the parts is going to cost money. If it's a really good price it would be worth it, but since someone didn't go through the expense of fixing the 4WD, I'd be real concerned about that "383". No idea what kind of effort went into it, no matter what the seller says, a used motor is a used motor.

A 2 wheel drive transmission

this is gona sound dumb... but im gona ask anyways... the tail shaft on the 2wd is longer right? if so, is it worth messin with??

thats right... i dont have the knowledge or tools to totaly rebuild a truck... i realy want to learn about them and i know that this is the right place!!

Just an fyi, to swap a tcase, you only need a few wrenches and some rtv.

i can do that... just dont wana start a rig that needs a trany, tcase, and drive shafts... i would rather start out with a more complete vehicle

6 bolts hold the tranny to the motor, and 3 bolts hold the torque converter to the flex plate.... 9/16... Just sayin
