Storage for straps and stuff

The military has so much stuff available for this type of thing. Lots of different sizes and variations to ammo cans so it should be pretty easy for you to find something to fit your needs. Try and find a military show or swap meet in your area to get the best prices.

Plus most ammo cans will still be water proof, as long as the rubber seal is still in tact. I also have used some wooden ammo crates. They had rope handles and a flip up lid

I carry some ratchet straps and several chains in my pickup--I put a length of chain across the back wall of the cab behind the seat, and use the hooks on them to hang them on the chain..works for me..

I like action packer totes for bulky stuff like my camping gear and such. They aren't too spendy at the old WalMart and hold up decent.

My ammo cans - 1 each for tools, parts, and recovery gear.

Another cool inexpensive piece of gear since it is in these pics - those ACU camo bags are military surplus ass-satchels. Each one of us has spare/emergency clothes (mine has BDUs, underwear, sox, beanie). The waist strap tucks in back and the cinch straps make it easy to attach (to the cage in my case).
