Don't know how to imbed but the above video link is nice country road, 65mph and the eagles.

Just throw the alphanumeric characters at the end of the link between a set of [youtube] tags...

I spelled it wrong so you could see the format...

Nice vid! Makes me miss my truck.... A lot. I can just barely remember how good it feels to cruise down the road looking over that big wobbly hood. :)

:frown1::frown1: SOLD the Blazer today.

Wife and I are having to adopt a baby as she cannot have kids. And unfortunately, its an insanely expensive process. Seeing as how the blazer has been in VA for a couple years while I am in Cali, and its about 2k to ship it...I figured it was time to make a responsible choice.

I deploy again in September and that, combined with selling the blazer should pay a huge portion of the adoption off, which means that around this time next year I can start looking to jump on one of these pristine, rust free, Dessert air preserved SoCal 1stGens and start over...Which is actually an exciting prospect. Applying all the lessons learned on a new build is pretty exciting.

Got 10,750 for her, which I am pretty happy with.

Sad day, but it sounds like it's for all the right reasons though. :waytogo:

Good luck on the adoption. Kids are a lot of fun.

Excited to see the next build down the road. Is that going to be the story of three 72 Blazers? :D

It would only be fitting for it to be "The Story of Three 72 K5's" Ha Ha Ha.

Since I still have the STC soft top, painless kit, dizzy, hookers and Blazer emblems...If I put those on my 3rd truck, It will technically be true.

Dang, that sucks. It's hard being an adult sometimes. Sounds like you got a fair amount for it.

Good luck with the adoption process.:waytogo:

Not 4 days after the blazer was sold, our daughter was born!

Really put things like being sad about a truck into perspective!

USMC keeps me too busy for a project and with moving overseas for 3 years....

I will re unite with A 1stGen once more when I return!

Great to meet you yesterday Dave. Bummer we did not meet earlier, we probably could have had some beerfests together - we have a lot in common between our love of K5s and military backgrounds. I read through your thread earlier.....you wasted no time with that build, and now I understand what you were saying about the issues you ran into with the first one.......I have no doubt you'll build another when you get back CONUS. If anything comes up/you need help with anything before you leave, just say the word......as I told you, one of my customers is right down the road from you, so I am up there all the time (they are high-maintenance).
