Just got some steel wheels for my build. The outer lips are pretty banged up but for the price they'll work. Will probably hold air but need to know the best way to straighten the lips out withou having to pay $65 to get a shop to do it. Is it as simple as beating the crap out of em with a BFH untill they look right and grinding the rough spots or will i just make it worse? Thanks

They do have special "rim wrenches" at tire shops, but I have used a large adjustible wrench with good results..to BEND them back, hammering usually muckles them up even worse!..

I dunno, I've used a BFH to straighten steel wheels many many times with good results. Even a few aluminum ones too. You just have to hit the right spot.
