I just stumbled across this, what say the experts?

clicky

meh

Your not gonna break a ried knuckle. at least on a d44. Could be a marginal strength upgrade to a stock knuckle i guess.

I have a pair I likes em!
lol
I opted for this when i did my cross over and hi steer from ORD.
Mine have the standard tie rod delete. hi steer only.

I'm was thinking more about a stock knuckle...

For a stock knuckle I would say absolutely, for a reid, not so sure its going to help much

Although it does take the steering stresses and transfer them down to where they should be, I say worthwhile for hight steer, not as much for crossover

Ditto. I checked ORD's prices, and they're selling them for $219 as well.

Maybe I was thinking of the D60 knuckles...?

D60 Reid knuckles, are $300 each... :D

Here's $1,100 in D60, Reid parts.... :haha:

My only thought that would be why would you throw that much money at a D44, unless you were so far upside down already.

Thanks for this post, I have been thinking of doing something similar and now I don't have to think, for that price I would just buy it ready to go.
I always felt the high steer/ cross over put too much stress on the knuckle and wanted to tie it down to the original part, that does it nicely.

I was just curious...I can't do a 60 anytime soon...:dunno:

I think they are cool but if your breaking that stuff on a D44 upgrade is usually cheaper.

I never said I am breaking it, I just feel the desing was weak and needed to feel more secure, and that will do it.
Remember I have never wheeled anything with more than a D44, but I also never wheeled anything with more than 37" and I never broke anything major.
Just the way I drive, I am very smooth and never use the skinny too much.
I also dont go hump rocks, I just got the easy route to get where I want to go. So for ME, this would be the ticket.
I might even make it myself, I usualy like to do that but in this case it's cheap enough I might just buy it.
I have owned D60 axles and I have sold every single one of them, I have no need for them.
My ultimate truck was a Wagoneer on 35" tires locked front and rear.

You have converted me to that way of thinking. being a little undersized with smaller tires makes picking and making lines a ton more fun and challenging

Bigger tires just lets you be stupider and try harder things which leads to broken parts.

Of course sometimes it leads to sheer awesomeness.

I am subscriber to both schools of thought, Horton being one and the Jimmy being the other

That's the "jeep thing" everyone talks about.... Just sayin'

In all seriousness, I wish my rig was smaller.
Undersized rig, oversized tires... :deal:
